Process
Our Process at Arent Custom Homes consists of studying and understanding the community and specific street then building a one-off residence that blends within the character and style of the neighborhood. Conscientious building.
We are passionate about efficient and “user friendly” residential plan layouts and spend hours during the design drawing phases studying and adjusting the house-to-property relationship, floor plan, lighting layout and switching, ceiling details, and much more. This luxury residence is built to the latest code requirements with attention to detail that you, a discerning buyer, expect when building a new house.

History
It has always been a dream of David’s to start his own business. His career began by graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida. Immediately after graduation, he took his first job with the Haskell Company in Jacksonville, Florida where he focused on all aspects of design/build general commercial construction.
In 2003, David took an opportunity to build luxury, high-rise condominiums with BCBE Construction located in Naples, FL. While at at BCBE, David honed his estimating and project management skills. The accounts he managed included the most prestigious developers in Naples: The Lutgert Companies, Ecogroup, and WCI.
When the housing market dropped out, David focused on building high-end clubhouses in the most elite neighborhoods with BUILD LLC (A DeAngelis Diamond Company). This was a pivotal opportunity to specialize in the remodeling and construction of 20,000 to 30,000 sf exclusively designed clubhouses.
In 2013, David transitioned into developer role with Kolter Urban. He moved to Sarasota to oversee the construction of the VUE Condominium, The Westin Sarasota, and the Mark Sarasota Condominium. He brought the Bayso Condominium in the Quay from concept to construction. During his 8 years at Kolter Urban, David managed all aspects of development from land analysis and profitability studies, design team coordination of project plans. He worked hand-in-hand with the county and city officials and commissioners. He oversaw the proper execution of the construction process and coordinated the closing of nearly $700M in Residential sales.
In 2020, David opened a development and construction company, David B. Arent Custom Homes, LLC. David B. Arent Custom Homes, LLC acts as a developer purchasing property, building custom homes, and selling to future homeowner. Each project is managed with the same mindset; build a quality home with attention detail whether someone is watching or not.
